Why does time past faster at the weekend?
Is it true then that time flies when you are having fun? I cannot believe it is back to work again tomorrow...and a long week ahead too :(
For now I am sat here on my I-phone next to a very stubborn 2 year old who would appear to have some serious sleep issues, and now will not fall asleep unless it is on a car journey, or you sit next to him until he is asleep! Exhausting and parent intensive to say the least and not the easiest to undertake when you have 2 more kids who would like some mum time too. Tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel? I mean, when is a girl supposed to scrap?! Ok, tad unfair as I attended the Crafty Stash crop at Welwyn Garden City today and shopped/scrapped for 6+ hours. A great crop, super friendly, amazing class kit and scrumptious food too for a bargain price!
I managed to complete the 2 class projects using scrummy Pink Paislee products, bought 2 or was it 3 ?!! more kits from past crops and invested in a new Martha Stewart punch too, oh and did a scraplift layout too (from MemoryMakers magazine, USA) of young Jamie and his ice lolly.
I bought another sheet of Pink Paislee paper (not in the class kit) which with my kit leftovers will give me another layout as well. Yippee, happy me (I know simple pleasures!)
Other news, we heard this week we lost our school appeal for a local primary school place for our son this coming September. Not sure what we are going to do at the moment as the only schools with vacancies are stupid journey away, impossible to get to in rush hour traffic and then make it into work on time, not to mention poor schools (hence them having spaces). We do not have to send him (by law) to school until January 2010, but of course he thens misses out on a term of education, settling into real school life and making new friends. It is a very difficuly time for us as a family expecially as Jamie (our youngest) is due to start nursery in September also. I am sure some divine inspiration will hit me soon that gives me a glimmer of hope or optimism for them both, for now, I shall continue to have the very slight 'ump with the local authority - who sadly are my employer as well!!!!
