Seriously I cannot believe we are in March already! I have barely even got used to it being February and my Januaruy trip to New York seems just 5 minutes ago. I still have plenty of photos to print off and scrap but I have either had my head buried in books (just discovered another Paranormal romance author Keri Arthur) or my feet have been out walking as my Moonwalk 11th May 2013 Marathon training is well under way so I haven't been playing with paper other than for my crop classes and my design team committments. February gallery is now up for ATDML and that features a fair few pieces from me as our papers were My Mind's Eye which I rather love.
One of my favourite pages was this tag inspired one which was the second layout I taught at my January Crop.
Papers left over from this and my other design team pages were then used to create my Valentines card and giftcard holder for hubby as featured on Created by ATDML on Valentines day.
Plenty more to share from this gallery (over next few days but for now I will leave you with a photo of my youngest who turned 6 last month, my how time flies. I barely have any photos of him as my camera was playing up post New York (luckily fixed now) so I only have a few taken on my phone first thing when his hair was all over the place!!
Quick blog post to share a humourous moment of my day. Trying to fit in photographing my design team projects ready for sending in and with reduced daylight hours and working full time can be a challenge. I walked the boys to school this morning and came back, showered off quickly then snapped my layouts before heading in to the office. Two of my three cats decided as I had returned home and therefore that meant they would get fed again! Do you think they would let me photograph my pages?... erm, no!
Everytime I tried to snap them one of them nudged the page, or jumped in my lap! Grrr, better luck tomorrow I hope!
Yay its the weekend! Travelled up to Marks Tey in Colchester today for another Eclectic crop and a spot of retail therapy in the nearby Birds in the Barn craft shop. I was in the market for a replacement trimmer and the helpful ladies in the store helped me pick out a Tonic guillotine and I was rather pleased with it today. I certainly think it will make my life easier preparing kits for my crop and with my design team roles I cannot be cutting wonky!!
The lovely Debbie taught the class today using MME papers and I managed both her class layout and another with the left over papers (sneak peak shared!)
I finished my second layout (using Crate papers) for my crop next weekend and rescued the first which my tom cat had decided to chew! Guess he didn't care for the love themed page but I rather liked it.
So a nice day spent scrapping, healthy lunch after a naughty breakfast (my porridge was a disaster and I was running late) and a full tummy now from a scrummy SW chilli. I now have to set up camp in the living room for my two boys who want an adventure tonight!! How can I not join them? Happy weekend x
Day three of super healthy eating and I found the egg and toast kept me going almost til lunch so I ate a banana and apple about half 11. Pasta with salmon flakes and phili light cheese with chilli for lunch with a pot of superfree fruit, a Muller lite and a diet coke. Another stir fry for tea using up the other half a bag of veg and beansprouts with extra spinach, mushrooms and chicken. I ate half before my boxercise class and half after and have treated myself to a little Lindor chocolate this eve! So far, so good and that included 4 days in a row walking the kids to school. Hopefully tomorrow and the weekend will be as good and the scales will scream a happy number on Monday!
Day two of following a healthy meal plan per the Slimming World app to kiclstart this last bit of weightloss. I forgot to photograph my lunch today but here is my yesterday, weetabix, ss milk and banana for breakfast, tuna in lime mayo dressing on a jkt spud with a mixed salad and beef stir fry for tea. Yum!!
I am publically committing myself to share my food consumed for 7 days in a bid to ensure I stick to my plan.
I will photograph each of my three meals and blog each day starting tomorrow what I have eaten and extra exercise I have taken. I signed up for a 6-week countdown at Slimming World tonight and I am guns blazing to achieve my target weight ideally within the 6 weeks, averaging at just over 2lb a week I should manage it if I can keep focussed, avoid life's curveballs and keep myself happy. I do have marathon training starting this week too for my next night hike in May of walking 26.2 miles of the Moonwalk (and no I am not doing in backwards!)
Went grocery shopping tonight and am all set for a 7-day meal plan to follow... watch this space!!

Well January is fast running away from us, but if it is taking the wintery weather with it then I don't really mind!. Earlier this month I said I had been busy working on design team projects and I can now share my Simple Stories pages for the ATDML website.
First up this fun layout that I actually designed for my crop in November of last year. I had great fun punching out the dots and layering them on the page and backing the punched out elements with patterned papers, simple but effective technique that I picked up from Shimelle.com.
Next the other layout created for this same crop event, this time making use of the really cute polaroid elements of the Simple Stories papers.
Another page of Mr Cardle, again using those polaroid elements.
These are great for simple multi-photo pages and effective at the same time meaning quick pages which sometimes is what you need! Hey, they don't call it Simple Stories for nothing!
With the school line that I must say is very American themed with its phrasing I managed to make a minibook with using the less wordy side (avoiding the americanisms) and my youngest will be filling this with tales of his second year at Primary school.
Plenty more eye candy using Simple Stories papers over on the website - cLICK HERE to go take a peak!!
