Loft conversion has entered the house, argh!! everywhere is covered in a light coating of dust - but sadly not that one would associate with a nice sponge cake! We have a big hole where the new staircase will go leading off from the boys existing bedroom (theyhave been temporarily vacated now!) and no ceiling above it - and then the stairs didn'arrive as anticipated today! Hopefully (fingers crossed) they will tomorrow, but to be fair this is the first hiccup we've had in the process now in its 4th week. Also we are waiting on the windows for the side and back, again these should arrive tomorrow so we should see massive changes in the coming days. In the meantime I shall try and maintain my stress levels.
Veggie patch has been a hive of activity too this week, seeing our first harvest of potatoes (and boy were they tasty) - Under soil n the ground @ 5pm, washed and prepared, cook and eaten by 8pm, accompanied by tasty runner beans also from the garden and a nice piece of chicken. We also have 3 pumpkins now growing, harvested our first courgette (with several more on the way) and have an abundance of vine tomotoes albeit not ripened as yet. Oh and 2 sweetcorn too, amazingly huge ad superb to think they have been grown form a single corn! I plan to grow many more next year, and expand to fruit also (with my lovely Brother-in-law kindly agreeing to buy me an apple tree in the Autumn for my birthday just gone!) Good job the frogs that my darling cats keep bringing home for me don't seem to want to eat my veg! Check out this little baby I rescued from them yesterday!!
Finally layout or two to share from the weekend. Cool - a layout based on a Willow Tree Craft cybercrop challenge to only used cardstock and stickers!
And a layout using last months ScrapAGoGo kit a roughly based on a PAWS sketch also from their cybercrop this weekend just gone.
Wow your garden sounds lovely, and I think your loft will be to. Hope to see it some day ;)
Your layouts are amazing, love that you only have used cardstock and stickers on "cool"
And check out my blog...you've got an award ;)
