After a rather upsetting start to the weekend we headed off to Suffolk on Friday evening which took twice as long as it should have due to horrendous fog, but we arrived safe and sound just after 9pm. After a lousy nights sleep (children + hotel = no sleep!) hubby dropped Eloise and I off in Wyvestone for the GoGo make time for yourself scrapping day. The weather was sooooo cold, but made for some great wintery photography opportunities, my favourite shot below.
Sad to have to leave early to travel up to Redditch the day was over too quickly as I was enjoying my scrapping as always, but we travelled north to spend another night in a hotel (this time with more sleep) ready for the Christening today where Matt became Godfather to Daniel - the son of good friends of ours for whom Matt was best man.
Even managed to pursuade Eloise to take a photo of Matt & I - we have so few since our wedding! Lucky this photo was taken after the painkillers had kicked in as I had managed to trip earlier in the day with my youngest in my arms and in protecting him from the fall landed awkwardly and heavily on my left knee which is now a most beautiful colour - I really should be just locked away and wrapped in cotton wool
The rest of my time this weekend I have been more than anti-sociable with my head firmly inside a book (so unlike me) and have now read the first 2 books from the set of 4 by Stephanie Meyer. Eloise is reading the first and when she is done (she also cannot put it down like me!) we are off to see the film.
And so another week starts tomorrow - hopefully I can snap out of my recent mood a be a little more cheerful, else I shall just lose myself in book 3 or the remaining episodes of my Greys Anatomy DVD boxset
I love the Twilight books, I'm on book 4 now - I read the first 3 in two weeks and I saw the film last week and loved it. Glad you're enjoying them and I hope your knee is okay.
