I hope you have all had a very Merry Christmas xx
We are not long back from spending the day with my parents where we also caught up with my sister and my brother-in-law and my scrumptious niece Isabella who celebrates her 1st Christmas this year. They bought my boys mini scalextrics which had them competing with much enthusiasm and amid hoards of excited squeals, especially when the cars spun off the track!
The boys also got there much sought after "wiggle scooters" aka Power Wing Scooters and are now most eager for the snow and ice to disappear so they can get out on them. Eloise has spent most of her time since Christmas day welded to her new iPhone, managing to download an array of applications which have kept her quite amused ever since, oh and I think she may have texted the world also!
Yesterday we spent a nice quiet(!) day at home just the five of us, enjoyed a tasty Christmas dinner (though I forgot the crackers - bad mum!), and spent many an hour watching the kids enjoying their gifts. I was a very happy Mum getting several CDs I have been wish-listing and a nice heated blanket to keep me toasty warm at night.
Tomorrow we are over to my in-laws for our 3rd Christmas dinner in a row (no complaints here) and of course, more family time together, and then we will need to play "find-a-home-for-all-these-new-toys!" which is always an amusing task!
So there have been many happy and joyful moments to the holiday so far, with more to come I am sure, and it hardly seems like a week since I received news that my father had passed away in America where he has been living these last 25+ years. This happening so soon after losing my beloved Grandmother last month, in addition to Mat losing his Nan earlier this year we will almost be relieved to see the end of 2010.
In terms of my crafting I am up to the 20th on my JYC and need to share some more pages with you all soon which I will do over the next few days. Until then I'm off for a left over meat sandwich and a glass of something lovely. Good health to you all x
