Day 4 at the Blue house in the Cotswolds and whilst we may not have had an incredible amount of sunshine it has been warm and pleasant. The boys have enjoyed the timber trail not 2 minutes from the house, as well as kicking the ball about beside the lake. Eloise has clearly been inspired by her surroundings and is spending her time drawing with watercolours and pastels creating some beautiful pictures.
Tuesday we had free passes to attend the local holiday site with both an indoor and outdoor pool, the former with waterslides that we couldn’t keep the boys off!! Seriously Jamie is an utter adrenaline junkie steering around the twists and turns as if he were playing Mario Kart! We will more than likely return before we leave, just a shame you can’t take photographs in the pool area, how I wish I could capture their faces coming down the slides! After lunch on Tuesday Rob and I headed off for some Geocaching and managed to locate the two we went in search off. Sadly I also managed to lose my footing on some steps cut into a steep bank and sprained my ankle. It seems much better today after mostly resting it so I should be good to go for the 2mile walk tomorrow to capture six more caches!
Today we visited Cotswold Country Park and Beach for a few hours where there is the UK’s largest inland beach beside a beautiful lake. There was plenty to keep everyone amused for several hours, we enjoyed a nice picnic and I filled up my smallest memory card with photos!!
Needless to say we are having a very pleasant week away, relaxing and having much fun. I’ll leave you with my “wish you were here” card I designed recently and submitted for the Bo Bunny DT call. Seems appropriate!!
